Royal Academy of Pope Benedict XV Opens Institutional Year 2024/25 with Prestigious Awards Ceremony in Vatican City

Italy: The opening ceremony of the Institutional Year 2024/25 for the “ROYAL ACADEMY OF POPE BENEDICT XV” will take place on May 11, 2024, at 4:00 pm at the Istituto SS. Maria Bambina, via Paolo VI, 21 in Vatican City, Rome. During this event, academic titles for the year 2024 will be conferred. Notably, H.E. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Burkina Faso to the Holy See, Mr. Règis Kevin BAKIONO, will receive the “INTERNATIONAL PRIZE of SANT’AGATA V.M.” for his dedicated efforts in fostering dialogue between peoples for a future of peace and brotherhood.

 

Subsequently, distinguished individuals from various fields will be honored with the title of “Academic Senator,” including internationally renowned stylist Maestro Guillermo Mariotto, Prof. Stefano Dominella, Honorary President of Maison Gattinoni and Vice President of the Fashion and Design section of Unindustria, Professor Bonizza Giordani Aragno, an eminent Italian Fashion Historian and Writer, International Film Producer Eileen Tasca, and Dr. Nino Graziano Luca, Artistic Director of the National Historical Dance Company, among others from the Institutional, Civil, Religious, Military, and Artistic spheres.

Later in the evening, at 8:30 pm, a Gala Dinner will be hosted at a prestigious hotel in the capital. The Royal Academy, named after “POPE BENEDICT,” was established by the determination of Their Royal Highnesses, the Talluto Princes of the Royal House of Sant’Agata di Gomoa Odumase and Odo-Oko. The Spiritual Patron of the Society is His Most Reverend Eminence Cardinal Robert Sarah, Prefect Emeritus of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments.

This institution aims to promote the fundamental principles of the Roman Catholic Apostolic Church and the Faith in Catholicism worldwide, fostering solidarity among peoples and advocating for the sacred right to education as a means to alleviate material poverty and spiritual deprivation.
