Erum to Represent India at International Karate Championship in Thailand

Kolkata: Erum Seraj, a resident of Narkel Danga in Kolkata and a Black Belt holder, is once again set to represent India at the forthcoming King Sany Wijaya International Karate Championship, which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, on 28th November 2024. Erum, who has already made her mark by winning three gold medals for India in previous championships held in Thailand, is gearing up for another stellar performance.

Living with her parents, along with her two sisters and two brothers, Erum has always been supported by her family in her karate journey. Her dedication and hard work have not only made her a local hero but also earned her recognition on the international stage. The Indian Karate Association has selected her once again for the national team, and she is determined to bring home another gold medal.

Erum shared her excitement about the upcoming championship, stating, “I am thrilled to be selected again for the Indian team. My goal is to win another gold for my country, and I am training hard to achieve that.” She is currently taking special training sessions under the guidance of her coach, M.A. Ali, at Ramlila Park in Kolkata to ensure she is in top form for the competition.

The news of her selection has garnered attention from various prominent figures around the world. Among those who extended their congratulations was Tony Taylor from New York, along with several other international personalities. Their messages of support have further motivated Erum to give her best at the championship.

With her eyes set on gold, Erum Seraj is ready to make India proud once again at the King Sany Wijaya International Karate Championship in Bangkok.
