Muslims should not misled, strengthen the hands of Mamata Banerjee by voting for Babul Supriyo: MA Ali

Kolkata: By-elections for Asansol Lok Sabha seat and Ballygunge assembly seat are going to be held on April 12. The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has fielded Bollywood star Shatrughan Sinha for Asansol Lok Sabha bypoll and former BJP leader Babul Supriyo for Ballygunge assembly bypoll. Babul Supriyo is accused of inciting communal riots in Asansol. Due to which some people are protesting against him in Ballygunge area. International karate coach and champion MA Ali has appealed to Muslims not be misled and strengthen the hands of Mamata Banerjee by voting for Babul Supriyo.

MA Ali said that it is not yet fully proved that Babul Supriyo was involved in the Asansol riots. The biggest thing is that when Imam Sahib has forgiven Babul Supriyo, then no one else should have any objection on this.

He said that many TMC leaders also went to BJP and then returned, then will the TMC supporters no longer vote for them in the elections. We have to forget the past and move on. BJP is the past of Babul Supriyo. Now he is in TMC and we all have to work together to make him successful.

MA Ali said that this election is not of Shatrughan Sinha or Babul Supriyo, this election is of Mamta Banerjee. We have faith in Mamata Banerjee. Only she can challenge BJP. In 2024, under the leadership of Mamta Banerjee, the opposition will compete with BJP and Narendra Modi.
