Felicitation to the Indian team going to participate in the World Meet 2023 

Kolkata: The Indian team going to participate in the World Meet 2023 was given a grand welcome. The Indian team felicitated in a programme organized at Kolkata Press Club. Many dignitaries  were present in the programme. It is noteworthy that like every year, World Meet 2023 is going to be held in Bangkok on 20th September this year too.

Let us tell you that the World Meet is organized every year in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. In which along with the Karate World Championship, an awards ceremony is also organized. Karate players from all over the world participate in the Karate World Championships.

At the awards ceremony, those people are rewarded who have done commendable work in various fields of life. This year too, people who have made significant contributions in the fields of art, literature, entertainment, education, health, sports etc. will be awarded. They have been selected from different countries of the world. Some of the people selected from India belongs to Kolkata.

On this occasion, international karate coach and champion and World Meet Director MA Ali said that it is a matter of great pride for us that the Indian team is participating in an international competition like the World Meet. I have full confidence that Indian karate players will perform brilliantly. MA Ali said that seven girls included in the Indian team are from Kolkata. All of them have taken training at our Ramlila Park Karate Centre. All of them belong to very poor families. I had appealed for their help, some people have helped, but this help is not enough to meet the expenses of one girl. Some people have assured help. Let’s see how much they help these girls.
