Indian Journalist Association’s 100th Annual General Meeting concluded

Kolkata: The 100th Annual General Meeting of the Indian Journalist Association concluded today. Association members from across the state attended the annual general meeting held at Kolkata Press Club.

West Bengal Agriculture Minister Shobhandev Chattopadhyay, Water Resources Minister Dr. Manas Bhuiyan, Former MP and Minister Manish Gupta, Actor Vishwanath Basu, Senior Journalist Suman Bhattacharya, Sumit Chaudhary, Dev Jyoti Laha, Kinshuk Pramanik, Tapas Ghosh, Indian Journalist Association President Saba Nayakan, Vice President Sudipta Sengupta and Taraknath Rai, General Secretary Shekhar Sengupta Secretary Debashish Das, Assistant Secretaries Kamlesh Pandey and Abdul Odud, Treasurer Supriyo Bandyopadhyay attended in this event.

Indian Journalist Association is the oldest association of journalists in India. It was established 1922 during the British era.

Shekhar Sengupta, a senior journalist and general secretary of the Indian Journalist Association, said that the purpose of our organization is to work in the interest of journalists. For which we always strive.
