Kolkata is ready to welcome Christmas

Kolkata: Ahead of Christmas Kolkata has been lit up with beautiful Christmas decorations. It has been decked out in fairy lights, tuning bulbs, and Christmas-themed lighting, specially in park strret and bo barracks area. The area is expected to get a huge rush of visitors on Christmas eve and on Christmas day tomorrow as besides the decorations, a giant Christmas tree has been put up at Park Street’s Apeejay House.

The centerpiece of the holiday decor at Park Street is the 54 feet tall Christmas tree, which is the tallest so far in the city. The giant Christmas tree was unveiled by State Agriculture Minister Sovhandeb Chatterjee on Thursday.

The Kolkata Christmas Festival lights up in the bustling Park Street. Themed decorations take to the streets, while twinkling LED ornaments sparkle after sundown.

Before that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday inaugurated Christmas festivities in Kolkata’s Park Street.

On Christmas eve international karate coach and champion MA Ali, Golden girl Ayesha Noor and some karate players celebrated Christmas with children at Ramlila Park. Where they cut a cake and wishesh each one. On this occassion MA Ali said that Jesus has given the message of peace, love, sacrifice and helping each other to the whole world. We all need to follow the path shown by him.
