Kolkata’s Erum Seraj Selected to Represent India at International Karate Championship in Jakarta

Erum Seraj from Narkeldanga, Kolkata (Ward 29), has been selected to represent India in the upcoming King Sany Wijaya International Karate Championship, scheduled to take place in Jakarta on January 28, 2025.

Erum is a seasoned karate champion, having represented India on three occasions and winning Gold medals each time. Her remarkable achievements include being awarded a prestigious Black Belt in Thailand by His Majesty King Sany Wijaya Natakusuma of the Padjadaran Kingdom, Indonesia, in the presence of participants and delegates from 32 countries.

While Erum expressed her joy over being selected for the championship, she also shared her concern about the lack of sponsorship. Without financial support, her participation in this esteemed event remains uncertain.
