Kolkata’s Omme Ruman Seeks Urgent Support to Represent India at International Karate Championship in Indonesia
Kolkata, India: Omme Ruman, a talented young karateka from Ward No. 28 of Raja Bazar, Kolkata, has once again made the nation proud by being selected to participate in the prestigious King Sanywijaja International Karate Championship, scheduled to be held in Indonesia. However, financial constraints are posing a significant hurdle for this determined athlete, and time is running out.
Belonging to a humble family, Omme Ruman has already showcased her exceptional skills on the global stage. She previously attended the World Karate Championship, where she brought glory to India by winning gold. Despite her accolades, she continues to struggle with financial support to pursue her dreams.
Currently holding a brown belt in karate, Omme requires ₹85,000 to cover her travel, accommodation, and participation expenses for the championship. The Don Bosco Development Society has generously contributed ₹20,000, but an additional ₹65,000 is urgently needed.
The situation is critical as the registration for the championship closes on January 5th, leaving Omme with very little time to gather the required funds.
“I want to make my country proud again. Karate is my passion, and representing India on the international stage is a dream. I am seeking help from everyone so that I can attend this championship,” said Omme.
Residing in Raja Bazar, Ward No. 28, Omme’s journey is a story of perseverance and talent. With the clock ticking, she is appealing for immediate help from kind-hearted individuals, organizations, and sponsors.
Those willing to support Omme Ruman in her journey can contact her family or contribute through verified donation platforms. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help this young athlete fulfill her dream and inspire countless others in the process.
