Kolkata: Narkel Danga of Kolkata is a densely populated area. Where mostly people from poor families live, but in today’s situation Narkel Danga is sitting in a pile of gunpowder. There are so many incidents of fire in the area that people are in panic.

A sudden fire broke out in a building in Narkel Danga area on Friday. There was panic in the residential area due to the fire incident. After the fire, there were continuous explosions of gas cylinders, due to which panic spread among the people. Many people were injured in this incident.

This is not a new incident of fire in Narkel Danga area. Every month there is a fire in some building or slum area here, due to which people are always in panic. Local people say that illegal construction and illegal electricity connection is the main reason for the fire.

International karate coach and champion MA Ali has expressed concern over the frequent fire incidents in the Narkel Danga area. Many students of MA Ali live in this area, who learn karate from him.

MA Ali has appealed to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to pay attention to the recurring fire incident in Narkel Danga area and try to stop it.

MA Ali said that today there are small incidents of fire, but in the coming days any major accident can happen, in which many lives can be lost, because Narkel Danga is a densely populated area. If the fire catches on, it can cause massive destruction, in which innocent lives can also be lost. Therefore, I request Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Kolkata Municipal Corporation, Fire Department and Kolkata Electric Supply Corporation (CESC) to take measures now, so that such incidents do not happen in future and people can feel safe.
