Omme Ruman Selected to Represent India at 3rd World Karate Championship 2023 in Thailand, Seeks Financial Support
Omme Ruman, a student of class 12 at Momin High Secondary School in Raja Bazar, has been selected once again to represent India at the 3rd World Karate Championship 2023, which will take place at Royal Rattnakoshin in Bangkok, Thailand. This prestigious event is organized by the World Martial Artist Council and IDCO.
A total of 26 members will make up the Indian team, and they are scheduled to depart for Bangkok on an Air Asia flight on September 18, 2023.
Omme Ruman previously achieved a Gold medal in the last World Championship held in Bangkok, Thailand, and she received financial support from her local councillor, Ayan Chakraborty Choudhary, who represents Ward 28. This time, she is once again seeking financial assistance from her councillor and others to fund her trip.
Omme Ruman holds the rank of Green Belt in full-contact karate, and this championship will see participation from 32 countries worldwide. She has received congratulations from Former Member of Parliament and MLA Idris Ali for her achievement. Additionally, Tony Taylor from the USA has praised Omme Ruman as a dynamic and talented fighter.
