Sofia Khan sparks love amidst hate
Kolkata: In a country where hate-mongers are dividing people on religious lines, targeting a specific community relentlessly, Sofia Khan stands out as a beacon of hope. Recently, a video went viral where an NGO was distributing food outside a Mumbai hospital, forcing a Muslim woman to chant “Jai Shri Ram”. The incident was widely condemned.
However, Sofia Khan, a renowned social activist from Kolkata, is doing the opposite. She has been distributing food among people, regardless of their religion, at various hospitals in the city. On Saturday, Sofia Khan, under the banner of Sofia Humanity Foundation, distributed food among the needy.
She said, “The greatest humanity is to help those in need, feed the hungry, and not discriminate based on religion. Those who do so have probably not studied their own religion properly, as no religion asks for one’s name and religion before feeding the hungry. We are feeding everyone, regardless of their religion.”
Sofia Khan’s efforts are a shining example of humanity and compassion, amidst the growing intolerance and hate. Her message of love and unity is a beacon of hope for a better future.
