
Fugitive Vijay Mallya Held in A Contempt Case by Supreme Court
New Delhi: In 2017, Supreme Court had found Mallya guilty of contempt of court for withholding information from the court of transferring 40 million dollars to his children in violation of the court’s order.
Supreme Court awarded 4-month jail sentence and imposes Rs 2000 fine on fugitive businessman Vijay Mallya who was found guilty of contempt of court in 2017 for withholding information from the court.
Supreme Court asked Vijay Mallya to deposit back that money with interest within four weeks and if he fails to do so it would lead to attachment of properties.
