Kolkata: The month of Ramadan is going on. Millions of Muslims around the world are fasting. Among those who fast, there are all kinds of people, rich and poor, employed, laborers. There are many such Rojadars in Kolkata who are pulling rickshaws even after fasting this summer. At the same time, for some people, fasting is just the name of being hungry and sleeping throughout the day.
In this hot summer season, when people are hiding in their homes and offices, some girls are taking Karate training even after fasting. In the hearts of these girls, along with respect for their religion, there is also a desire to do something in life.
International karate coach and champion MA Ali’s karate class at Ramlila Park in Kolkata is running in the month of Ramzan too. Children and girls of all religions come to his karate class. There are also many Muslim girls among them. Those who are taking hard training of karate even while keeping fast.
Those girls say that we have to win medals for the country. You have to work hard to win the medal. It has been said in Islam that while continuing all business, keep fasting. That’s why we are continuing our training even after fasting.
Their coach MA Ali said that training in karate is very difficult. It takes a lot of thirst. Doing Karate training by fasting is really an act of courage. I salute their spirit. This spirit will come in handy for these girls to win medals. MA Ali said that there are some people who are only hungry in Ramadan and sleep all day. This is wrong. We should fast while fulfilling all the needs of our life. Only then we will understand the real purpose of fasting.
