TMC Councilor Sana Ahmed honoured the winning Indian team in Karate World Championship
Kolkata: The Indian Karate team has returned to India after waving victory at the World Meet 2022, the biggest competition of martial arts held in Bangkok. Players from 20 countries of the world participated in the World Meet. The Indian team has won 5 gold, one silver and one bronze medal here.
The winning Indian team in the World Meet was felicitated today by Sana Ahmed, TMC Councilor of ward number 62 of Kolkata. Sana Ahmed congratulated the winning Indian players and wished them all the best for their future. Sana Ahmed said that it is a matter of great happiness that today the Indian team has come from Bangkok by winning. The happiest thing is that one of the medal winners is also Mohammad Ali Warsi belongs from my ward.
Indian team coach MA Ali said that it is a matter of great pleasure for me that today I have been honoured by TMC Councilor Sana Ahmed. Very few people know that Sana Ahmed herself has been a karate player. She used to learn karate from me. MA Ali said that it would have been better if the government also honoured us.
