Winter Full Contact Karate Camp and Grading 2024 Held in Kolkata
Kolkata: A five-day Winter Full Contact Karate Camp and Grading event was held at Ramlila Park, Moulali, Kolkata, under the guidance of Instructor Md. Farooqe, Sihan Rizaul Karim, and Sihan S.N. Routh. The event was jointly organized by Byagrah Kan Karate International and the Indian Karate Association.
M.A. Ali, President of the Indian Karate Association, emphasized the importance of traditional full-contact karate in shaping the youth. He said, “Karate not only prepares youngsters to face the world but also teaches them self-control and discipline. It benefits their studies, instills focus, and helps them lead disciplined lives, which is crucial for success.”
Md. Farooqe highlighted the organization’s efforts to empower girls by offering free karate training. “We provide free karate training to girls from various parts of the city and suburbs every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
This year, six girls from our training center participated in the 5th World Open Karate Championship held in Bangkok, Thailand, on May 8th, and all of them won gold medals for the country,” he said.
The event showcased the dedication of participants and instructors, promoting self-discipline, confidence, and physical fitness among the attendees.
