Ayodhya Airport to Be Named as Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham
Ayodhya: The upcoming Ayodhya airport, named Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham, is set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30. The first phase, costing over Rs 1,450 crore, includes a state-of-the-art terminal building reflecting the architectural style of the Ram Temple. With sustainable features and local art, the airport aims to serve 10 lakh passengers annually, fostering connectivity and boosting tourism, business, and employment in the region. The name change of Ayodhya Railway Station to “Ayodhya Dham” Junction precedes the grand inauguration of the Ram Temple scheduled for January 22. The consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in the temple, presided over by PM Modi, will begin after Makar Sankranti on January 14, involving a 10-day ritual of ‘pran pratishtha’ (consecration).
