Eqra Sabder to Represent India at 7th World Meet 2025 in Thailand

Kolkata: Eqra Sabder, a determined young martial artist from AK Fazlul Haque Girls Higher Secondary School, is set to represent India at the 7th World Meet 2025, scheduled to take place on May 8, 2025, at the Royal Thai Army Club in Bangkok, Thailand. At just 16 years old, Eqra has shown exceptional dedication to karate and is confident about bringing home a gold medal.

Her father, SK Sabder Ali, expressed immense pride in his daughter’s achievement, stating that her participation in this prestigious international championship is a moment of honor for the family and the country. Eqra herself is thrilled to be a part of this global event, saying, “I am glad and proud to be participating in the 7th World Meet. It is an incredible opportunity to compete at an international level and make my country proud.”

Beyond her passion for karate, Eqra has a keen interest in criminology and enjoys sports like swimming and cycling. Her diverse talents and strong determination make her a promising young athlete to watch at the upcoming competition.

The World Meet, organized by the World Martial Artists Council in association with the International Diplomatic Cooperative Organization, has been a prestigious platform for martial artists worldwide since its inception in 2019. More than 50 countries are expected to participate in the 2025 edition, with representatives from across the globe competing for top honors.

The World Martial Artists Council has been actively promoting young talents like Eqra, ensuring that they receive the recognition and support needed to excel on the international stage. HRH Prince M.A. Ali, Director of the 7th World Meet, stated, “It is inspiring to see young martial artists like Eqra Sabder take on this challenge with such determination.
