Young Karate Talent Debayan Sarkar from St. Montfort’s School, Set to Shine at Global Stage in Bangkok

Kolkata: A rising young star from St. Montfort’s Senior Secondary School is all set to make his mark on the international stage. Debayan Sarkar, a 12+ year-old student and son of Sunil Kr. Sarkar, has been selected to represent his school at the prestigious 8th World Global Meet 2026, scheduled to be held in Bangkok on 7th June 2026.

 

Despite joining karate just a few months ago, Debayan has already reached the yellow belt level, showcasing remarkable dedication and rapid progress. Training under the esteemed Monimala Halder, she is preparing with great intensity and determination. Confident and focused, the young athlete has boldly expressed his ambition to return home as a gold medalist, making his parents and school immensely proud.

The World Global Meet 2026 is expected to witness participation from numerous countries, bringing together talented martial artists and cultural ambassadors from across the globe. The event will also be graced by an impressive lineup of international dignitaries, including:
