Murshidabad Welfare Society Aims for All- Around Development of the People Of Murshidabad
The Murshidabad Welfare Society has been formed for the welfare of the people of Murshidabad. The main purpose of the society is to work in every aspect of life including social, cultural, educational, historical, economical & medical. This organisation aims for the development of economically weaker people and help thier families to fulfill their requirements. This welfare society also plans to help to provide better education to poor childrens.
Murshidabad Welfare Society also plans to protect the heritage of the NAWABS who ruled Bengal for over the decades. According to the members of this organisation, they are ready to work to protect the nature & the environment in all the possible ways.
For the first time in the history of Murshidabad “A FOOD FESTIVAL” has been organised by the Society mainly to introduce “NAWABI FOOD” to the public and tourists as well, so that they can know about the NAWABI taste of the NAWABS of Murshidabad.
The Festival started from 26th December 2021 to 7th January 2022 at Wasef Manzil, New Palace, Qilla Nizamat, Murshidabad. It has been drawing a huge crowd from the day it started. People from the different corners of Murshidabad are have been visiting to taste the historical flavour of Murshidabad. S. Shandar Meerza, Rafique, Rinku, S. Afzal Raza, S. Ghalib Ali Meerza, S. Reza Ali Khan, and H. Begum are the founding members and the office bearers of this society.
