Demand to change TMC candidate of Ward 60, hundreds of people sitting on hunger strike

Kolkata: Trinamool Congress has announced candidates for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation elections. But in some wards TMC workers are not happy with their candidate. Especially in Ward 60, TMC workers have declared war against their candidate. TMC had earlier fielded advocate Yajijur Rehman as candidate from this ward. But within 24 hours TMC again gave ticket to the former councilor of the ward, Kaiser Jameel. Due to which TMC workers got angry. They are deman ding from Mamta Banerjee to replace Kaiser Jameel and make again Yajizur Rehman candidate again. Against this decision of the party, TMC workers of Ward 60 have sat on a hunger strike in large numbers. Sadia Shaheen is leading this movement.

She said hat Kaiser Jameel has been the councilor of this ward for 7 years, but he has not done a single work for the development of the ward. He was busy only in making collections with illegal builders. Sadia Shaheen said that Mamata Banerjee listens to everyone. We hope that she will definitely listen to us. She said that if our demand is not accepted then our hunger strike will continue. It will also have an bad impact on the election result.
