Devastating 6.4 Magnitude Earthquake Claims more than 140 Lives in Nepal’s Jajarkot District
Nepal: Late on Friday, Nepal’s Jajarkot district was struck by a significant 6.4 magnitude earthquake, resulting in a tragic death toll of at least 132 people. Nepal’s police confirmed this grim figure on Saturday. Additionally, more than 140 individuals were reported to have sustained injuries in the Jajarkot and Rukum districts in Western Nepal, as reported by state-run Nepal Television.
The earthquake’s epicenter was located in the Lamidanda area of Jajarkot, according to information from the National Earthquake Measurement Centre.
