More than 200 Candidates selected & shortlisted at Mega Job Fair held in Gulbarga by AMP & KBN University

Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) organized a mega Job Fair in Gulbarga in association with Khaja Bandanawaz University on Saturday 4th November 2023 which was a huge success. The Job fair was conducted at KBN University Campus, Rauza-i Buzurg, Kalaburgi, Karnataka, to help unemployed youths to get placed in reputed mainstream Corporates and to provide opportunities to the needy without any discrimination of Caste, Community and Creed.

There was a great response to the Job fair as more than 1000 Candidates turned up. At the end of the day more than 200 Candidates were Selected and Shortlisted. More than 20 Corporates and Recruiters from across various industries participated in the Job Fair with more than 10,000+ vacancies available for jobless youths.

Dr Hafiz Ali Al Hussaini, Pro Chancellor – KBN University, and Prof Ali Raza Moosvi, Vice Chancellor – KBN University, were the Chief Guests at the event and who inaugurated the Job Fair.

Dr Hafiz Ali Al Hussaini was quite pleased to see the arrangements of Job Fair venue and thanked AMP for the Collaboration in providing job opportunities to the youth. He further added “It is heartening to note that this Job Fair was organised within a short period of 2-3 weeks by AMP and more than 1000 candidates turned up. Out of these as many as 30 candidates were selected and close to 180 were shortlisted for the next round. We will plan better for the next Job Fair, so maximum Candidates can benefit.”

M. K. H. H. Jeelani, Board Member, Khaja Education Society, said “We would request AMP to implement its many projects and activities for the student community of North Karnataka. This Job Fair is a step in that direction and we will collaborate with them so our students are directly benefitted”.

Dr Zahida Khan, AMP National Co-odination Team (NCT) Head, who is based out of Bengaluru, visited and hosted the mega Job Fair along with the local chapter team. She catalysed the AMP Chapter team members & the volunteers to carry out each task for the job fair in an efficient manner, leading to great success.

Waseem Ishaque, State Secretary, Karnataka and the force behind the Job Fair said “We have done many Job Fairs in Bengaluru and it was my dream to organise this job fair in Gulbarga as many youths needed jobs here too. We wanted help the youth and their families and this job fair was an excellent way to help them and at the same time improve the atmosphere for Communal amity and brotherhood. We thank KBN for their support in organising this mega job fair.”

Shahid Haider, Head – AMP Employment Assistance Cell, said _”It was a great opportunity to work with KBN University as they have been working for social causes for the last 60 years and focusing on Education and Women’s empowerment. This job fair has paved a path for KBN to also provide Employment opportunities. Going forward, we will be collaborating with them on various projects for Students as well as Academia.”

A host of AMP Members & dignitaries visited the Job Fair and lent support in organising the same. These included, Deen Mohammad, Chapter Secretary, AMP Chennai, Mohammad Ismail, Chapter Head, AMP Bangalore, Dr. Tanveer Jamal, State Committee Member, AMP Karnataka, Rayeesuddin Khasdar, Chapter Head, AMP Gulbarga, Abdul Saleem & Absar Patel, EB Members, AMP Gulbarga, and others.

The event was backed by very strong support from AMP Employment Assistance Cell (EAC), the local AMP Chapter team members, KBN University, and their entire team of volunteers who helped in Registration, Screening, Corporate & Queue Management. The Police personnel managed the crowd and traffic admirably.
