All languages should be respected: MA Ali
Kolkata: International karate coach and champion MA Ali has once again called upon people to respect all languages. Today MA Ali was honored with the Torsha Tarango Award.
On Monday, MA Ali was presented the Torsha Tarango Award on behalf of Torsha Tarango magazine at Tripura Hitshadhini Sabha Auditorium, College Street, Kolkata. This award was given to him by Ratna Sarkar, editor of the magazine. Gold medal, trophy and a certificate were given in the form of award.
On this occasion, writers from West Bengal as well as neighboring states of Jharkhand and Assam were present in large numbers, Who not only invited MA Ali to come to their respective areas, but also presented their written books to him as a gift. Writer Shaad Tamil Hussain gave his book Sagorer Majhe Nauka Amar, Chhaya Gupta gave her book Shyamoli Maa and Kajol gave her book Sudipta athowa Vidipta as a gift to him.
On this occasion, MA Ali said that I would be happy that whatever is my wish, the same wish should be yours and the same wish should also be of the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. I wish that every language should be respected equally. But some institutions in West Bengal are insulting the Bengali language here. Sign boards of big English medium schools are visible only in English language, which is wrong. Sign boards of all schools in the state should also be in Bengali language. The people present there wholeheartedly supported this suggestion of MA Ali.
