Another crown adorned on MA Ali’s head, honoured with Pandit V Balsara Memorial Award

Kolkata: International karate coach and champion MA Ali needs no introduction. In the game of karate, he has written a new story of success in the history of game. He has received many awards in the country and abroad. Today another crown was decorated on his head. He was honoured with the prestigious Pandit V Balsara Samarak Samman.

Today, MA Ali was awarded the Balsara Medal of Honour by the Calcutta United Cultural Society at Tripura Hitasadhani Auditorium in Kolkata. In the programme, dignitaries including Bangabhushan Swapan Sen, litterateur Swapan Das, former principal Dilip Kumar Mandal, singer Navochanchal Vishwas, secretary of the organization Mahesh Gupta were present.

On this occasion, MA Ali thanked the Calcutta United Cultural Society for awarding him and said that I have received many awards abroad as well, but when own people respect your talent, then I feel more happy. He said that I have been honored even by the US government, but sadly, despite winning many awards for India in karate competitions around the world and playing an important role in the spread of karate, till date I have not received any award by government. Same is the case with Karate’s Golden Girl Ayesha Noor. Ayesha Noor has won many gold medals abroad for India. She is giving free karate training to thousands of children, but neither she is getting any help from the government nor has she received any reward for her work. That’s why I demand to the Government of India to reward Ayesha Noor and encourage her talent.

Let us inform that a few days ago, MA Ali was also honoured by the prestigious Lions Club and Rotary Club.
